The late Agnes (Stoner) Wood of Oblong, IL, is believed to have made this colorful "grandmother's flower garden" quilt. It was one of the most popular patterns of the 1920s and 1930s, according to the book, How to Compare and Value American Quilts, by Stella Rubin. In 2005, Agnes' niece Sharon (Sheldon) Kern brought it to the 2005 National Minerd-Minard-Miner-Minor Reunion, where it was photographed. Click for next quilt Copyright © 2005 Mark A. Miner.
