This fan design by Jean (Shoemaker) Ayars won third prize for "piece" quilting" at the 1992 Kentucky State Fair. Her husband, James Arthur Ayars, is a descendant of Uriah and Matilda (Bodle) Minerd of Carson City and Hubbardston, MI.
