One of the earlier quilts made by Jean (Shoemaker) Ayars, circa 1990, this is entitled "Wild Rose 2." In creating this design, she experimented with small appliques, later perfecting her technique in other, award-winning efforts.
Jean's husband, James Arthur Ayars, is a descendant of Uriah and Matilda (Bodle) Minerd of Carson City and Hubbardston, MI.
