Nancy Thompson, wife of the late Alvin" Buck" Thompson, created this family tree quilt showing the descendants of David Leander and Martha Jane (Harbaugh) Laughery of Vanderbilt, PA and Farmington, DE. With a green background symbolizing the leaves of a tree, Nancy had precious family photographs copied and appliquéd to fabrics which then were sewn together in their respective family groupings of David and Martha Jane's six adult children and their offspring. The quilt regularly is on display at Laughery Reunions in Delaware, which have been held every year since 1963, and which Nancy and Alvin occasionally hosted and served as officers.
