Item: Christmas Tree Skirt

Reunion treasurer Doris (Sands) Hawker hand-quilted this Christmas tree skirt in 1998. To do so, she appliqueed multi-colored Christmas tree ornament balls which are embellished with gold trim, ribbons and tiny bells. She entered the skirt in the Monongalia County (WV) Fair in 2000, and received a blue ribbon and a best of show ribbon for her work. The ribbons may be seen near the center of the skirt.
