2) Lamp light & I will try & write a little more as the kidds are asleep & the men are talking to Bear as he has sliped in again. Well while we was eating dinner the door opend & in come Aunt Lyd & Ollie. they come there while it was raining & after dinner come up here I saw a top buggy drive in there but never thot of them she got home yesterday afternoon & oh dear she talked so fast & so much I cant tell half.. but I will tell you all I can. she went & come right through Laredo & Galt. just think so near you & oh the people she said that went on that excursion & she never will regret her trip. she got to Aunt Mags one day & Aunt Lib & Uncle Hen the next evening after dark. & Uncle Hen did not know her. Lena Sellars took her out to aunt Mags & when they got there Aunt Mag was out by a corn crib mowing weeds down with a sythe & she -- Aunt Mag -- did not know her till she laughed. she says she is grieveing herself to death & looks ten years older. she was at our home but did not see John & Han. they had gone to town but went in to see Mrs Hiskett & the old lady knew her. she said the front part of the house was all that looks natural. she saw Frank & Eda. When she got off the train the(y) was going to get on to go to Columbus. then she saw him at the fair. but wasent at thier house. Uncle Hen only staid a week with them. she said he was some gray & his eyesight is poor & eyes look dim. aunt Lib will start next Wed to Tenn & visit our Uncles several weeks then go back & stay with Aunt Mag awhile. she lives alone & she wont go anyplace. they want her to go with Aunt Lib but she wont [illegible]. poor soul cried half of the time Aunt Lyd was there. she said so many asked her why Pa didnt go back with her. Jud & Julia Sherman went over to Aunt Mags to see them one evening & Juds whole talk was about Pa. I said to Pa what a pity he didnt get ready & go back & he laughed & said he would lots rather & would enjoyed a trip up to Helenas more than to Ohio. Oh Helen why didnt you get ready & go your cloths was fine enough & you never would regretted it. she said Kate went home too weeks ago. George wrote he couldnt get along & take care of everything & she must come home & home she did trot. She said Mag Drury was old & walked with a cane & Polly Merritt was just so much worse than she use to be in her foolish whiney ways. she told how she acted & had us all aching laughing. Oh she told so much I cant begin to think of all this time. she cant look as well as she did before she went. she had too regular old chills & it rained half of the time she was there. & had a freeze up that killed thier house plants. the leaves all off. taters & apples all holed up & things all fixed for winter. she said when she first went she thot things looked so good that if her family was only there she would be so happy. but for too weeks before she came home she didnt think so. she wanted to come back to Kans. she had her hair all frized on top. she said that was Aunt Libs style. & she said she was as stylish & more than ever. She has not got her trunk yet but said she had some apples for us that come off of that tree in the corner south of our old garden. its alive & bears great big apples yet bed time. & fire all out & I must turn in too. good night.
