This
quilt was made by Mabel Olive
(Shanower) Miner (1885-1985), who lived to be 100 years of age. She was the wife of Hugh
Valentine Miner, of Tontogany, Wood County, OH. It was a very
special gift and heirloom crafted for Mabel's great-granddaughter, the Rev.
Kathleen (Miner) Kisner.
A close-up view of the detail of the pattern and intricate stitchwork is seen at left.
Mabel's granddaughter in law (and Kathleen's mother), Beverly (Hansen) Miner, is active with the Wood County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society.
