George Dewey Minard |
George Dewey Minard was born in 1899 in Barbour County, WV, the son of William and Elvira (Male) Minerd.
George has disappeared from much of recorded history.
He had a slender build, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the age of 19, in 1918, unable to write, he labored as a coal miner in Philippi, working for the Philippi Gas and Coal Company. That year, he registered for the military draft during World War I, and was marked as a "Negro."
Nothing more is known.
