The 41st Laughery Reunion of the family of David Leander Laughery and Martha Jane Harbaugh was held on Saturday August 20, 2005, at the home of David and Vicky Laughery in Seaford, DE. Twenty-five members were present.

The weather was quite warm and humid, but we were able to enjoy the outdoors under the tent that the Laughery’s had put up in their back yard. President Keith Winand welcomed everyone and requested a moment of silence for our deceased members. Ron Case gave the blessing, and everyone enjoyed burgers and hot dogs prepared on the grill with Sheila Laughery as chef. The Laugherys also supplied ham and chicken, and every one brought a side dish to share.

After dinner, Keith opened out business meeting. He thanked David and Vicky for having the reunion at their home and called for old business. Ron read the minutes from our last meeting and the treas. Report. There was a balance of $60. $20 was removed for postage and mailing which left a balance of $40. There were no deaths or births during the last year to report. 

Officers for next year will be:

• Tim and Kim Douglas - President and Vice President
• Ron and Peggy Case will continue as Secretary and Treasurer.

The 42nd reunion will be hosted by Keith and Mary Ann Winand in Chester Springs, PA. It will be held on the 3rd Sat. in Aug. 2006 at 1:00 PM. It was decided not to receive dues this year.
