Sarah "Sally" (Gaumer) Fox Sturtz was born in 1787 in Southampton Township, Somerset County, PA, the daughter of Johann "Jacob" and Maria Catherine (Sowash) Gaumer.
She is said to have migrated to Muskingum County, OH in 1809, not yet married and about the age of 22.
On March 31, 1816, when she was 29 years of age, Sally married Jonas Fox ( ? - ? ) of Muskingum County, OH.
How the Fox's marriage ended is not yet known.
Four years later, on Aug. 24, 1820, Sally wed George Sturtz ( ? - ? ) , also of Muskingum.
Their fates likewise are unknown.
