Florence (Hart) Pfeifer spent her 33-year working career as a teacher in Fayette and Beaver Counties, PA from 1916 to 1927 and then from 1942 to 1963. Many of the early teaching assignments were in one-room schools, now gone. She received her training at what is now California University of Pennsylvania and later at Geneva College. The schools where she is known to have taught include Poplar Run and St. John in Fayette County and Molly Main (Ellwood City), Mullins, Steele, Ohioville (Smith's Ferry) and Fairview in Beaver County, PA. She was the daughter of William "Harrison" and Sarah Ellen (Enos) Hart. This collection of images is from her daughter, the late Bonnie (Pfeifer) Morell.
