Dear Aunt, Uncle and Cousins

I will try and write a little bit this morning before time to send this to the office. well this is a pretty cool morning. the wind is blowing from the north and is cold. Mabel was bound she would wash the dishes so she is in the kitchen washing dishes and singing for all that is out. Aunt Helen you are beating me in the chicken business for I only have five hens setting and one of them is hatching this morning has two chickens. I havent any garden planted, only some onion sets out. I would like to be up there for a while but would not like to live up there. but well have to wait until I go to the strip and get a claim and sell it. then I will come rit up there. Oh yes I went to Medicine Lodge the other day and got me a new hat. I tell you it is a dandy! they all wear black hats here. they are all front and no back and turn up in front. they are real thin straw. mine is trimed in blue ribbon and a [pale] blue wreath on it. I think it is pretty but Grandpa and Late dont. they call it a steamboat & a scoop shovel and I dont know what all. but I know if you would see it you would think it was pretty. Well I guess when I get this wrote it will make this letter full enough and make you tired to read it. will write more next time.

Jennie
