Dearest Auntie

I will try and answer you kind and welcome letter which we recieved yesterday and read with much pleasure. We are all [well] and hope when these few lines will find you enjoying the same good blessings of health. Well this has been a windy day. the wind has blowed all day from the south. Aunt Helen you think your old hens did not lay any more eggs when you fed them than they did when you didn't feed them. Now I will tell you I do not feed my old hens any thing and I get from four to eight eggs a day. I did raise many chickens last summer. (see what I done or my pen did it, it just blotted my paper up). you thought I would [have] my new dress made. no I have not got it made yet and I do not know when I will get it made. I will send you a piece of it so you can see what it looks like.

Anna Sellers has not got home yet the last we heard of her she was at Lindly. they look for her home next Tuesday I believe. Mabel says to tell you she weighs 58 ½ lbs. she went down to our house to stay while we went to the Alliance and they were playing hideandseek and she fell and skined her nose. Well Aunt Helen what did you think of our family groape that looks just like all of us? I am going to an exhibition Tuesday night. come and you can go to. the wind is not blowing so hard as it was and it is as clear as a bell. The moon is shinning. I wonder what you are doing this evening. I imagine I see you all setting around the fire. our school closed friday. Mabel is sitting here writing in her copy book. she says tell Ross and Blanche she will not write any more untill they answer her letter. our folks are all well. you said you thought if Late went to many more suppers he would get fat. he has not went to any lately and looks rather lank. Joe Morrises have got a baby girl. Well my paper is pretty near full. I made a mistake when Annie Sellers was to start a week from tomorrow. Well I will have to stop. So biding you all good night I will close. from you niece

Jenny
