Dear Aunt
I will endeavor to write a little to you as I am to tired to do anything else much. Well this leaves us as well as common. we have all got bad colds but Grandpa. Well I washed and Ironed today. I stay at home one day out of every week to wash and iron and again I do that I am pretty tired. Well there was some folks came here by the name of Goss and I had to get supper for them and they have just gone. Mabel is saying Jen lets go to bed. Well Aunt Helen I dont believe you would know me for I weigh 140 and am as big as the side of a barn. so you can guess the rest and am a regular white. people say I look like you but I dont know whether I do or not. Well I will finish some other time, there the clock is striking nine and it is time all honest people were in bed. so I think I shall go "bretty" soon. I expect you have got Ma's letter long time ago, havent you?
Well I will try and finish your letter this cold evening. I went to school and the teacher treated us "kids". gave us eight sticks of candy a piece. I fane got the sniffles tonight and am taking cold all the time. guess I will get full after while dont you? Well Aunt Helen you would know Nellie and Bert Roby for they have both got to be school marm are both hording at home. our teacher aint bigger than a pint of soap after a weeks ...."
