Eathol M. Crosby was born on Jan. 6, 1906 near Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County, PA, the son of Lewis and Marietta (Minerd) Crosby. Eathol married Catheryn Huffman (Nov. 7, 1906-1983). They did not reproduce.
Eathol and Catheryn both worked at the Lenox Glass Company factory in Mount Pleasant. She made news in the Connellsville Daily Courier in April 1967 when she cut her right hand on a sharp piece of glass. The Crosbys were members of the Mount Pleasant Church of God. They resided at 265 East Smithfield Street in Mount Pleasant. In his spare time, he was an officer with the Independent Order of Americans lodge in Mount Pleasant, including service as outside sentinel circa 1959 and warden in 1962. At age 74, Eathol died on Sept. 20, 1980 at the Briefcliff Pavilion in North Huntingdon, near Mount Pleasant. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
