Alzona Austin Van Horn was born on Nov. 25, 1858 near Grand Rapids, Wood County, OH, the son of Eli and Mary Ann (Kimberlin) Van Horn.
Alzona's name often is misspelled "Alonzo," a more common name, in old papers and records.
The fate of Alzona is unknown. He may have died in childhood.
His name does not appear with his family when the federal census enumeration was made in 1870, when he otherwise would have been about 12 years of age.
