Isabel Kans Oct 4th 1889

Dear Sister Hellen

Yes I know you are anxious to here from some of us. Late came down to the field yesterday with your letter that he had got. Gave it to me to read. It is to bad that some of us has not writen but it just seams as tho we havent got time. we are so busy & I am writing this now while Sue is getting Breakfast ready. No none of us are sick & I dont want you to worry about that for if any of us get very sick we will sure let you know of it. we have all been well except Pa. he has not felt very well for some time. Blanch is getting fat as a little pig & has learned to walk since her Dear Ma has gone & is now Beginning to talk. I dont know how in the world we are going to give her up for we are all getting so attached to her. Mable goes to school with Jennie most all the time.

Hellen, you will half to give it up for we can not come back this fall. Sue did intend to come but impossible now. if you get to see those dear little ones you will half to come & see them. For the price of everything here is so low that it will take lots of stuff to fech anything. Oats is only 10cts per Bushel & corn is selling at 10ct wheat 50ct. Pa sayed he would go back but he cant get his money in that he has out on intrest. if those excursions were only going East why then Sue would come. Now Hellen I want you to sit down & just fill a letter up with those questions & we will answer every one of them. of course there is many things you want to know & many that we could not think of that would be of intrest to you so dont be afraid to ask all you can think of. O if you were only here we could talk so much better than write. Dick is looking for his sister & her husband every day. dont know how they will like it but I hope they will get along nicely. But Helen the old saying is a House was never large enough to hold two families. & then she is a strange woman & none of us know her. I do hope she will like it & hope she will take good care of everything there that seam so dear to us because they wer out. Dear sisters & those little ones I hope she will love & cherish as did there mother. But I have fears & I know you have two. I must close & Sue will finish this. good by & write soon.

Ever your Bro Less
