Dear Family Members,

The 24th annual reunion of the descendants of David Laughery and Martha Jane Harbaugh will be held on Sunday, August 21, 1988 at 1:00 pm.  We will gather at Clayton and Loretta Downes' home located at Route 1, Box 284-E,  Milton, Delaware. Please bring a covered dish, your family's place setting and folding chairs and tables.  There will be plenty of good food, games and fun.

We will be making plans for a big 25th year celebration for 1989 as it will also be our ancestors, David and Martha Jane Laughery's 100th wedding anniversary. If you can't make it this year, please drop me a line telling about your family.  Include pictures, if possible.  See the rest of you there!

The 24th annual family reunion of the descendants of David Leander Laughery and Martha Jane Harbaugh was held August 21st at the home of Clayton and Loretta Downes in Milton, Delaware. New officers elected were Alvin Thompson, President; Nancy Thompson, Vice-President; JoAnn Moore, Secretary-Treasurer; Steve and Janice Winand, Entertainment and Lois Winand, mementos for the special reunion.

The reunion, next year, will be held in Milford, Delaware at the home of Alvin and Nancy Thompson.  It will be a special celebration combining the 25th annual reunion and the 100th wedding anniversary of our ancestors, David Leander Laughery and Martha Jane Harbaugh. Three new members were added to the family during the past year.  Janice Moore married Steve Winand on January 16th.  Ricky Yakimowicz married Julia Downes on March 12 and Chase Tyler Carter was born to Susie and Chuck Carter. A moment of silence was dedicated to the memory of Leroy Winand who died this past year..

• Macaroni Guess - Susie Carter

The children enjoyed breaking the piñata for candy and everyone had fun playing Win, Lose or Draw.
