The 38th Laughery Reunion of the family of David Leander Laughery and Martha Jane Harbaugh was held on Saturday Aug. 17, 2002, at the home of Clayton and Loretta Downes in Lewes, DE. Thirty-two members were in attendance.

The weather was clear, but very hot about 95 degrees. Ron Case gave the blessing and special prayers for the Thompson family for Teresa’s illness. Loretta’s buffet bar was filled with good food which every one enjoyed.

President Jerry Thompson called the meeting to order. There was a minute of silence in memory of our deceased members. The treasurer reported a balance of $73 and expenses for office of $24 and entertainment $20 leaving a balance of $29. It was voted to collect dues of $5.00 per family. $61 was collected leaving a balance of $90.00.

New officers were elected for 2003.
