The
fourth Laughery family reunion was held on Sunday, August 18, 1968 at the home
of Willis and Dorothy Laughery.
It was sunny and hot with 43 in attendance.A delicious buffet dinner was enjoyed by everyone, especially the five
flavors of homemade ice cream, brought by some of the families, and the three
tiered cake made by Ruth Wilkerson.
There were games and puzzles for every age. These included balloon busting, tug of war, potato relay, peanut and candy piñata, guessing pieces of elbow macaroni in a jar (won by Ruth Ann Wilkerson), lemon toss, peanut scramble, and treasure hunt. In the absence of the president, the secretary conducted the meeting. The minutes were read and approved. The treasurer reported $18.51 on hand. The nomination and election of officers for the following year was held.

The reunion started at 1:30 p.m. and continued until dark. An enjoyable day was had by all.
